Prepare your child for school!

It's almost the end of the school year. Can you believe it? Over the past few weeks we have invited parents of new Reception children into school to support them with this new phase of their child's life.

Parents have been invited into school to talk about any concerns, worries, thoughts they may have about school and to make some things for their child to bring to school on their transition days.

The first thing we made was a 'thought bag'. The idea of the thought bag is for children to talk about any worries they have about starting school. I think it is fair to say that the parents really enjoyed making the bags out of our fabulous Crookhill T - towels.

DSC02682.JPGThe second session was about sharing the interests of our children. Miss Brown has learned lots about the children's favourite foods, toys, songs and games. We made boxes for our children for them to put in their favourite things.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who attended. See you next Monday for the final meeting.
