« Harvest Festival | Main | Happy Diwali from Class 3 »
This week was our first peer massage session. The idea of the program is to help the children to relax and aid concentration particularly in the afternoon sessions. Mrs Robson, the trainer, came in this afternoon to teach Reception children the first 3 moves. There are 15 altogether so we have to work hard over the next few weeks to learn them all. We are then going to show class 2 all the different moves so they can enjoy the benefits too. Everyone throught the school will be trained at some point. See our snaps of us in action below.
It is really important that we ask the other person if they would like a massage before we begin. Eeryone has the right to say no.
This stroke is called the eye glasses. See how relaxed we look!
The cat grip stroke is tricky. It is hard to remember which hand to put on our partners forehead.
Some of us almost fell asleep.
The final move is called the baker. We really liked that one. We are excited to learn the next three strokes after half term. Parents get ready for some very relaxing massages.
