On Tuesday Class Five travelled back in time to a Tudor Manor House at Washington Old Hall.
When we arrived we had to get into our Tudor clothes - they were very fashionable!
We looked around the house and grounds and asked lots of questions. We had to try and get a 'job' to earn our keep - we all wanted to get our lunch! We had a woodcutter, a bird scarer and a spit boy to name but a few.....
Luckily by lunchtime we all had a job so that we could enjoy the feast in true Tudor style!
We were lucky enough to be joined by the Lord and Lady of the Manor - Lord Chambers and Lady Kendal. Don't they look the part?!
In the afternoon we enjoyed playing with Tudor toys and games - some were quite tricky and took a bit of skill!
Then we created minature portraits, illuminated lettters and lavender pouches - which made us all very sleepy after a long day.
