« Longstone Lighthouse (part 1) | Main | Friday Letter »
This week Reception class have been reading the story 'Whatever Next' by Jill Murphy. We found it really helpful when we were learning the 'r' sound. We made lots of cool rockets in the junk modelling to take us on our own journey to the moon.
Some of us made rockets out of linking cubes following our theme of repeating patterns.
Now that our rockets are finally ready we needed to make some food to take with us for our trip to the moon. The children decided they wanted to take little buns.
First we weighed the butter and sugar and creamed them together.
Then we had to beat the eggs.
Next we had to weigh and mix in the flour, we then added our beaten eggs.
When the mixture was ready we put it into bun cases.
When the cakes were ready we got to ice them. Don't they look fab? We can't wait to take them on our trip to the moon.
