Recyclers in Reception!

« What a Load of Junk | Main | Climate Change gets Year 4 heated up! »

As you all know by now this creativity week has been about sustainable schools. A large part of that was about the importance of recycling. The whole school participated and brought in piles and piles of junk to make fantastic creations. However, there was lots of junk left over. Reception class in particular had a vast amount of junk left. DSC00537.JPG

What on earth are we going to do with all this rubbish? Well recycle it of course!

We split ourselves into teams and sorted the rubbish into different piles. Some children collected and flattened cardboard boxes, some collected bottles, some children were in charge of paper and others were in charge of any other plastic.

What do we do with the rubbish now it is all sorted? We know! Take it to the tip. Mr Parkin kindly agreed to take all our left over junk to the tip to be recycled. We wonder what our junk will be used for next?
