As part of our sustainable school creativity week class 2 have been looking at the impact of fishing on our seas.  We discussed that too much fishing means there is a decrease in the amount of fish in our seas.  So to make sure there are enough fish we need to have sustainable fishing where fishermen are only allowed to catch a certain amount of fish so that there are plenty left in the sea.

So we decided to make our own sea.  We drew lots of fishS6300414.JPG

And made our own sea.

We attached paperclips to all of the fish.  Then we made our own fishing rods and put magnets on the end.

It was time to go fishing!!! S6300417.JPG

But disaster.  When we all went fishing together, there were no fish left in the sea.

So we had to only go fishing in small groups and only catch a few fish.

So now the Sea is still full of fish due to sustainable fishing.
