Today Reception class have been learning a new sound - j. It is a very tricky sound to learn so we thought of lots of ways to help us remember it.
First we did lots of jumping, jogging, jiving and even tried some juggling. Next we made some wobbly jelly.
This afternoon we made some jam sandwiches and practiced writing the sound in the jam on the bread. It was very sticky but we really enjoyed it.
Best of all was licking our fingers afterwards.
