When Reception came into school this morning they were in for a bit of a surprise. They found lots of leaves, conkers, pine cones and feathers all over the classroom.
The children collected them all up and talked about how they appeared in our room. Tillie thought that Jack Frost had been into our class becuase the feathers were frozen. Abbiegail throught that the wind had blown them in because it has been very windy. Lots of us thought that a bird had flown in and brought all the leaves to make a nest with.
We spent the morning making pictures of what we thought the bird looked like.
After playtime some of us went outside to collect some more materials. Hannah said we should make a collage of all the materials so that is our job for this afternoon.
We were very lucky when we went into the cave. We found a bird box that had been blown out of the trees. We have brought it back to the classroom incase the bird who left the feathers comes back tomorrow. We had a little peek inside the box to make sure nothing was living there.
Take a look tomorrow for pictures of the children's collage.
