Paw print hunt!

Reception class had another interesting morning. When they turned up for school this morning they found lots of paw prints on the floor and on the units. But how did they get there and who do they belong to?

We followed the paw prints back to the carpet area where we found a hole full of leaves and sticks and of course, paw prints!

We decided that because of the size of the prints and the fact the worm we found yesterday had been half eaten, that it must be a hedgehog. We know hedgehogs just love to eat worms.

We spent the morning making up stories about where the hedgehog came from and how it got to our class. Clink on the link below to read the story the raindrop group wrote together. Henry story - raindrops.doc

We thought it would be fun if we made some baby hedgehogs to put in the nest the hedgehog had made to keep him company.

We are looking forward to see what is going to happen in our room on Wednesday.
