« Chinese New Year | Main | Gung Hei Fat Choi! »
Today we have made Chinese lanterns. We know that traditionally the Chinese used to use lanterns before they had street lights. They now use the lanterns as part of their Chinese New Year celebrations. We have made some and added them to our Chinese role-play.
We decorated them with lots of red pom poms and gold glitter. Red is thought to be a lucky colour.
They are now hanging from the ceiling and look beautiful. They have definately brightened up our classroom.

How lovely your lanterns are a lot of hard work has gone into theses.
I was a pupil at your school over 40 years ago and have very fond memories of my time there,I can even remember some of my teachers names!
WELL DONE!
