Reception have been learning about weights and measures for the past 2 weeks. We began by looking at objects and deciding which was the heaviest and the lightest.
We used the bucket scales to see which objects were the heaviest. We found out that some objects are just to big to weigh in this way.
In the outdoor area we made a see-saw using tyres and wood to see if taller people were heavier than shorter people.
We have also looked at measuring objects using different measures. We began by using cubes to see how much taller or shorter we are than our friends.
