Further information for parents and carers 22.3.20

Dear parents and carers,

As you know, school will only be open from tomorrow to children of key workers and vulnerable pupils.  I need to stress that it is NOT compulsory for these children to attend school next week.  The school is open as emergency childcare so that parents who must attend work and are providing a critical role in responding to the Covid 19 crisis can do so. It is really important that if children can stay at home safely, then they must do so.

This is really important to protect other children and staff in school.

This weekend we have heard many messages from the government about social distancing – it is vitally important that we all adhere to this to stop the spread of the virus.  Gathering in groups must be avoided.  I understand that this may be difficult with children at home, but children should NOT be playing out with their friends as this increases social interactions and the transmission of the coronavirus.

As always, we are here if you need us.  Please phone, text or leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Thank you for your help and understanding throughout this time.

Miss McCormack
