Armistice Centenary at Crookhill
The 100 year centenary of Armistice Day was commemorated around the world and here at Crookhill, our Year 5/6 pupils played their part on this very special occasion. Our children joined Rev. Tom Jamieson, local residents and local MP for Blaydon, Liz Twist to remember this very special anniversary. After the service at the Stargate memorial, Year 6 children were able to join with residents to share their WW1 projects. As always, children were excellent ambassadors for Crookhill - their behaviour was impeccable as they observed a two minute silence and laid poppy crosses and wreaths for those who have died in conflict. A poignant and memorable occasion for children to take part in.
