Reopening message 10.5.20

Dear parents and carers,

I hope you and your family are well and staying safe in these unprecedented times.

I would like to thank you all for your continued support. These are challenging times and every member of staff appreciates the effort you are making at home to continue your child’s education.

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement today that schools will have a phased reopening from June 1st, I am sure that you have many questions and concerns regarding the situation. There are many things to consider and plan for but our first and most important priority is the safety of children, staff, parents and carers. Myself and the school senior leadership team have already been planning for reopening and now that we have a date and as we receive further details in the coming days, we will be able to plan more effectively. I am also meeting with other Head Teachers and Local Authority representatives tomorrow to discuss the practicalities of reopening safely. We will adhere to Government and Local Authority guidance and do what is best for our school community. I will keep you updated and informed as often as possible about reopening but please be reassured that safety will remain our key consideration.

Miss McCormack
