We had a fantastic trip to the Great North Museum. We were all very excited to climb aboard the coach with our friends from Year 2. After dropping our packed lunch bags off, we had a brilliant workshop about jobs in Ancient Egypt. We got to handle artefacts and guess which job it was. We tried on linen skirts, found a hoe and dressed as a priest!

After our workshop finished, we headed to the Ancient Egyptian exhibition where we saw a real mummy and travelled to the afterlife. By then, we were ready for lunch. In the afternoon, we explored the rest of the museum. We found dinosaurs, gems, Stone Age flint and lots of animals!

Our teachers were very impressed with our behaviour all day. Well done everyone!
